Olympics/Thoughts on Versions of ‘We Are The Champions’ as Covered by Various Ethnic Groups Within Russia

There are no fewer than six of these videos from the last two olympees from Russia, and each one is performed by and reflects a culture/language within Russia other than Russian. I figured this space would be a good one upon which to ‘review’ each one and ‘discuss my feelings with the blogosphere/twitterverse’. Also saw this as a way to expose all you ignorant jerks to other cultures and to ‘open your eyes’ to new ethnic styles to integrate into future buzzbands you might create. Who knows?…. I'm blogging on another blog about other things this one is about how much I hate Easyjet

Wish my name was more anagrammable. At least it’s more anagrammable than José’s.

José’s name as a possessive has too much punctuation/accent clutter at the end

Jóse’s looks more balanced. You should change your name friend.

Additional crappy thoughts

I’m supposed to meet with some Russian guy named Alex in a little bit to get together and talk about ‘jamming’. He wants me to be the front man in his band. I told him I don’t have a guitar and he said he didn’t care. Our text messages/conversations are sometimes in English and sometimes in Russian. Usually the switch occurs when one of us fails to  be able to communicate an idea in the current language. Makes me think of Uno/other games where the direction can suddenly change.

Jose Diaz mentioned me in his blog post. I was used as an example for hyperbole. Even though the use was pretty benign/not really that interesting, I felt like a special person. So I promised myself I would put Jose’s name in a post and I already did.

I should probably work harder on actually staying on one topic for these posts. Too much ADD, not enough amphetamines in Russia to compensate. Sorta wish college kids here ‘loved adderall’ as much as those in the US. Then I could get some more.
