Apparently these stairs are wheelchair accessible. At least that’s what this sign seems to imply. Not sure if I’m convinced. Not sure how they’re supposed to get up the stairs afterwards

So Helen turned me on to this large collection of photos of Russia taken for LIFE by Margaret Bourke-White during the second world war. Apparently a lot of them were unpublished. All of them are fantastic. You can see more here.

I think I found the prettiest church in Tomsk. It’s up on a hill farther north in the city than where I live. I found a path that led around to the back of it with a view over Tomsk (I have that bad picture somewhere). A stray dog followed me back there, (there are a lot of those here) I thought “damn, this is how I die, killed by a rabid stray dog on what seemingly is the highest point in Tomsk behind a church.” The dog was really friendly and just sort of watched me and let me walk by without a peep, I didn’t die. I think I’m a bigger fan of stray dogs now.

I want a huge VCR attached to my house too. Kinda wish my suitcase was big enough to bring this bad boy home.

This is a real hammerheard shark. The one known to be creeping around tumblr is a lie, a phony, a faux Sphyrna mokarran. He preys on your posts and secretly wants to steal your identity. He also will hold your computer hostage.

Still I wish I could hold a real one.
