I found this sketch up of a banner that my friend/talented illustrator dan hughes did for my bandcamp page over a year ago. It’s cool to see his process/the different ways he decided to draw me. It’s also interesting to see how my image as a musician was perceived at the time (gummy bear) as opposed to how it would be perceived now (I still love gummy bears).
The funniest part I think is the exposed chest/plunging neckline/chest hair. I never wear shirts like that.
Philadelphia’s own Daniel Hughes created this Magnetic Fields “Luckiest Guy on the Lower East Side” inspired picture book for his senior thesis and by golly, it’s pretty.
