They had all gone to a concert, Dolphin. He is apparently some sort of Russian music genius. I tried listening to his music, but I didn’t like it and I wasn’t impressed.
My reaction to Russian music like this always receives the same response:
‘I don’t like the music.
‘Why not?
‘It’s simple and boring and typical and I really don’t like it.
‘It’s probably because you don’t understand the texts. The texts are the part that makes it good.
‘That’s true, but that doesn’t make the music any better.
There was supposed to be some sort of a party in Gs apartment because he lives with a couple and they apparently had left. Then we found out it was a false alarm and they didn’t leave. I received a phonecall
‘Hey K, we have a bit of a problem.
‘What happened?
‘Gs roommates didn’t actually leave. Can we have a party at your house?
‘Sure why not, as long as there aren’t too many.
So there was a party at my house. All Russians except me. Funny thing is, I spoke more English at this party than any other party I’ve ever had/been to. This was because some Russian girls who studied English used me as practice.
Then I got into an argument with Kostya about gender roles in Russia. I think he needs to see more of the world. He will do that soon. I also think he is right that Russian girls need to learn how to speak up more. That’s not necessarily their fault.
‘Kostya, you have no clue what you’re talking about
‘All I know is what I see. I don’t see them arguing. You’re talking for them.
Eventually people left and/or fell asleep on my floor. Coats as blankets.
