I hate LOST

Search LOST on Tumblr, and what do you get? About 324358798 posts about how everyone is super excited to see the season finale of this stupid network television show. Yes, I said it, stupid.
I don’t care if you hate me/threaten my life/steal my kitten, I’m not going to change my mind, and this is why.
1. It used to be good, and now it’s not.
I’ll admit it, I loved LOST back in the first season. I saw it as a wonderful clash between realism and romanticism with some beautiful allusions to social theory (I mean, the dude’s name is John Locke for crying out loud). The dudes were smart, and the babes were hot to boot. It was any self-proclaimed intellectuals dream. And then…
2. The stupid smoke showed up
It was around this time that I decided I was never going to watch the show again. Why? Mostly because it had seemed to abandon the premise of being smart and interesting in oder to be confusing and mysterious. Dear writers, smoke isn’t mysterious or intriguing, especially when it’s crappy looking CGI smoke. I bet a smoke machine would have cost less. Since then, the show has been one random stupid mystery after the other with no apparent solution, at least not yet, which leads us to the fact that…
3. There will probably be one really lame answer for everything
Unless these writers are insane geniuses and have some sort of incredible idea behind it all, I see little to no collalation between any of the weird stuff that has been happening (the others, the plane, the dude in with the button etc.) And I am POSITIVE that the answer’s going to be a huge letdown.
All of that aside, I still would be okay with Lost’s existence if it weren’t for the fact that
4. LOST fans really try their hardest to convince you that the show is amazing
I hate this beyond everything else that has to do with LOST. I told you I don’t like the show, I told you why, I’m not going to change my opinion, I don’t care about what has been happening and I most certainly don’t want to listen to you blabber about how the big mysterious answer is going to be so good.
I really think people love anything that has some sort of suspense, even awful make no sense suspense. You want suspense? Watch Hitchcock.
